One of the most common misconceptions about dental insurance is the belief that it will cover the entire cost of a procedure. In reality, most dental insurance plans have a maximum coverage limit, typically around $2,000. Additionally, certain procedures such as implants or implant crowns may not be covered by insurance as they are often considered cosmetic rather than essential for oral health. As a result, patients should be aware that they may be responsible for a significant portion of the cost of these procedures, even if they have dental insurance coverage.
